Automotive glazing is a critically important industry with rapidly advancing technologies. At The Independent Windscreen Academy, it’s our mission to help businesses improve continuously by training, developing and recognising technicians at the sharp end, from apprentices to experienced auto-glaziers. A wholly owned subsidiary of a leading independent business, Essex Glass and Windscreens, IWA was the first centre in the UK independent auto-glazing sector to offer assessments for the first national Automotive Technician Accreditation scheme. The Academy also offers recognition afforded by the Glass Qualifications Authority and delivers the National Vocational Qualification and Scottish Vocational Qualification in Automotive Glazing. With a wealth of experience and expertise in training and assessment, IWA is an industry champion both regionally and nationally for skills development, accreditation and knowledge sharing.
